Kapel in 't Zand Cemetery

The Cemetery Kapel in 't Zand in Roermond has a Roman Catholic and a Protestant part. On the Roman Catholic side are nine Commonwealth War Graves, Graves of Resistance Fighters, Dutch War Graves and graves of civilian victims from the Second World War. On the Protestant side is a Dutch War Grave and the grave of a civilian victim from the Second World War. The part named the "Lost Cemetery" is an NSB (National Socialist Movement) grave from the Second World War. You will also find a Jewish cemetery. In October 2001, the State Secretary for Education, Culture and Science decided to designate the entire cemetery as a protected monument. The cemetery regularly provides guided tours.
