The 'Monument to the Fallen' was erected in memory of twenty citizens from Nuth, Hulsberg and Schimmert who died during the years of occupation as a result of acts of war.
The monument, that was created at the initiative of some of the veterans of Nuth, was unveiled on 30 December 1959. The monument serves as a permanent reminder of oppression and resistance.
